Bleed Through
Let these be the cuts
that we bleed through,
the writing on the wall
the music from your soul
the raised voices on streets
let these be blood,
and may we bleed
the bleeding of deep change.
Bleed may we through the unbelief
bleed through the pain,
doubt and uncertainty of tomorrow
bleed for our children
in the truths of our lips
and resilience of our spirit.
Let hell and heaven respond,
may the blood we bleed
call forth the change we dream,
bleed the blood of desire.
Let these be the cuts that we bleed through,
and may the blood call forth a new generation.
