I Saw a Ghost
I saw a ghost
and it was me
twenty years ago
a parade of psychiatrists
who didn’t see her
smothered her in pills
until her brain became
encased in amber
in my top ten fears
is becoming her again
proper diagnosis and treatment
depends on my self-reporting
and I want to know
how am I supposed to get that right
how do I get them to see me
