by John Buttner

There are times

That look to break the will

Times like now

Beg us to lie down

Times when all we think about

Is time

Time

The opportunity

To re-set, re-focus, re-alize

A body restricted, a mind elevates

Assuming it remembers how

These times are rare

Not original

New obstacles from the past

Memories from some old victory

The challenge of today

Much like those before

Will be conquered

In time
